Maybe it's not our job to fix Valve's problem. Perhaps Valve signed up for this when they released the game, and every decision since. I think Valve might be a company, with income and employees that are specifically hired to program and solve problems. It might just be me, but when peoblems arise within a product, it's the responsibility of the company to fix them. I think maybe, Valve should grow the fuck up.

One radical solution is to destroy the reason the bots are there in the first place. IE, removing the ability to trade Items. And removing the in game econemy.

I don’t understand why Valve is not pursuing legal action against the cheat distributors. Valve can make the end user license agreement whatever they want it to be.

honestly just banning hardware IDs and emails would drop the number quite a bit since the hosters have to spoof the hardware IDs of every system banned and thats gonna take time did you know you can use the same email to make multiple steam accounts part of the problem is that its very easy to make new steam accounts and its also very easy to automate account creation i suggest hardware IDs as less of a permanent solution and more of a stop gap

AI doesn't "brute force" anything. "Brute force" has a specific meaning, roughly equivalent to "check every possible combination in order". Any smarter method is not brute force. AI learning algorithms are FAR from brute force. It's not "you know what I mean" kind of error, it's more misleading than if you bleeped the phrase out and left video watchers confused.

I would be interested to see a retest of this with a very slightly different change: Remove headshots, and add tracers to every rifle. I predict the result would be either him charging to full and obliterating one person (Choose wisely), then running away to reposition before getting hunted down from the bright glowy line. This would add a significant amount of time between his kills, forcing him to be an actual pick class rather than rapidly clicking the heads of every medium and light class he can see in a choke. Then again, this might mean people stack sniper more to offset the charge time? I don't know....limit the stack to one and force the player to change class upon death so others can have a turn? At the very least, it would break spinbots walking toward your spawn without completely removing the class from the game. Also noteworthy is that bots and hackers would be kinda messed up in general, since the impact of that ONE kill is going to be lessened if the target is randomly chosen.

Just make the sniper class require a Guitar Hero controller.

Ok, from discussions the reason people don't like sniper is cause he feels like a one-sided battle to face against. He's a picking class and takes out important classes but you can't really do anything if he has his sights on you and theres no way of combating him. Unlike say spy were his instant backstab kill you can atleast do something against for sniper its basically avoiding the eye

Hey, so spectators actually don’t see the same view model as the player! You can confirm this by spectating an a posing player, like the scout. You will see the scout doing the throwing animation when you first spectate, even thought on the scouts screen there is no such animation.

What I've heard from a botter named pinkie, they have an config that they can whitelists their bots using steam64 so if a bot or player isn't whitelisted, it will target them.

I think reviving is a neat mechanic idea, but with some caveats: 1. It needs to be its own medigun variant that can't uber. Maybe revive is the uber equivalent, and it just charges fast. 2. Backstabs leave an enemy unable to be revived. 3. Medics cannot be revived, or perhaps have a faster despawn than any other class. A medic revive should be a component of a team, rather than just something medics do now.

For valve hiring moderators, the mods wouldn't have to it in a casual match for the rest of the game. You can implement a "call mod" button for players so that some casual matches get flagged by players and mods can hop between servers to moderate for themselves. To avoid the prevalence of false negatives, you can give players a casual cooldown for falsely claiming their server has a bot.
